Fnaf the twisted ones plot
Big Bad: Dave/William Afton, perhaps better known to fans as the "Purple Guy" or (later on) Springtrap. She ends up with a permanent face scar after tussling with Foxy. Beauty Is Never Tarnished: Subverted with Charlie.Unfortunately, the same goes for Dave as well. Batman Gambit: Purple Guy Dave trusts that the animatronics will kill the protagonists, because they look like adults, and the spirits possessing the animatronics are too angry, hurt, and mentally unwell to be able to tell they're not him.Charlie takes out Chica with an electrical cable, and this is after John attempts to charge Chica. Badass Crew: Despite being ordinary teenagers, our seven protagonists can be pretty badass when together, as seen in the last third of the book when fighting off the animatronics. The spirit possessing Foxy was trying to cart Jason off by his jeans and hide him in Pirate's Cove, but being a big, clumsy animatronic, his claw bit a little deeper than intended. And Call Him "George"!: Foxy's attack on Jason is actually an attempt to protect him.The sequel, The Twisted Ones appears to be a Silver Eyes continuity adaptation of Five Nights at Freddy's 4 with Charlie taking the role of the Crying Child. This goes a long way in explaining why none of the animatronics from FNAF 2 are mentioned a single time, the cameras work completely differently from the games, the animatronics remain at the second location rather than being moved back to the first after the Bite of '87, and why Dave's death isn't completely like it was shown in FNAF 3. Alternate Continuity: Scott has basically confirmed that the book follows its own sort of storyline apart from the games.
Carlton's dad has this reaction on seeing Carlton alive but concussed and scratched up from the springlock suit.
She freaks out even more when Foxy takes him, though it turns out Foxy thought he was protecting Jason from the "grown-ups".
Marla freaks out when her brother goes missing and realizes he went back to Freddy's to find Carlton. As she puts it, he ought to have known better than to think Carlton would play such a prank, and tells him to send an officer to find her son. Carlton mom's Betty reams out her husband on learning that Carlton went missing at Freddy's at night, in a place where several children went missing, including Carlton's best friend Michael.Charlie hasn't returned to Hurricane because of what happened, with her twin brother and best friends killed, her father being Driven to Suicide, and unable to cope with what happened.Their Glowing Eyes of Doom have changed from white to red, blue, orange and silver too. Adaptation Dye-Job: Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy's eye colours change from cyan, maroon, magenta and yellow to red, blue, orange and silver, respectively.Adaptational Heroism: Golden Freddy is noticeably more benevolent here than he is in the games. The descriptions even make them out to be borderline Terminators! Adaptational Badass: Freddy and his friends weren't exactly harmless in the games, but in the first chapter alone, they're able to smash and toss arcade machines like nothing.Actually Pretty Funny: Afton cracks a smile when Carlton snarks that he's trapped in "Your girlfriend".
